Jade Francis- Clark Jade began her dance training at the age of 15 when she incorporated her health and well-being within her training. She continued dancing into A level where she decided to study at the University of Chichester. Jade has adapted a style of physicality and has undergone an interest in choreography and hopes to take this further into a career. Lydia Clark Lydia started her ballet training aged five and after studying Dance at GCSE and A-Level she became interested in pursuing contemporary dance at University. Lydia has recently begun teaching contemporary classes at the dance school she grew up in and hopes to continue training through a Masters in performance to work professionally in the future. Victoria Dall'igna Victoria is originally from Brazil and half Italian. She has been in the UK for almost 8 years now. Victoria is classically trained in ballet and fell in love with contemporary dance at the age of 15. After her degree she plans to start her own dance company over in Brazil. Nick Dare Originally from Folkestone in Kent, Nick began his dance career at the age of 4 with Instep Dance Co. He didn't start actually studying dance till he reached college, where he was also asked to join Lîla Dance's youth company; The Mayakaras. Making immersive physical theatre pieces. Nick has also worked with Luke Norris Dance as part of Brighton Fringe 2015, and intends to go onto a Masters degree in performance once he graduates next year. Megan Dewey Megan Dewey is an aspiring contemporary dance artist. Her ambition started at the young age of two in her first ballet class, gradually being introduced to other styles. She has achieved intermediate level in modern, gold level in jazz, nisa level two in figure skating, performed in musical theatre shows and musically trained in clarinet. These skills have enabled her to develop her contemporary style to perform in 3Fall. Karl Green Karl started dancing at the age of 3 at his local dance school in Crawley. He then went on to study contemporary dance. His training then took him to LIPA where he received a 1st in higher education in Dance and Musical Theatre. He then enjoyed a 2 year career with Voguing/Contemporary company "House of Suarez" which allowed him to tour the UK and in Europe. He then returned to teaching and lecturing at local schools and colleges where he created dance as a resident choreographer before joining Chichester in 2015. In the future Karl hopes to continue on to work professionally and create an individual style in hopes of creating his own company. Matthew Gwilliam Matt began his training in contemporary dance when he went to college. Originally a hip hop dancer, Matt learnt to adapt his skills to understand a form of dance he hadn't yet experienced. He took his training further by studying at the University of Chichester and in the past summer doing a cechetti course and OPES classical ballet summer course. Alexandra Jovanovic From the age of four Alexandra Jovanovic started taking ballet, modern and tap classes in Worthing, West Sussex. Studying A-Level Dance at BHASVIC influenced her decision to train at the University of Chichester. Alexandra has worked with choreographers Ceyda Tanc and Theo Clinkard during intensive workshops based in Brighton. She aspires to continue practicing creatively in her future career. Julia Laguette Originally from France, Julia grew up in Asia where she started her ballet based dance training at a young age. Performing full lengths ballet at her local studio, she is familiar with repertoires such as Sleeping Beauty and Don Quixote. She started practicing contemporary while preparing for IB Dance, where she then decided to apply to the University of Chichester. During university, she has taken part of workshops at Chichester and The Place. As well as participated in summer intensives at Trinity Laban and Malandain Ballet Biarritz, where she worked with companies such Hofesh Shechter and Nacho Duato. During her second year, Julia went on a six months Erasmus exchange in Lisbon, Portugal at La Escola Superior de Danca, working with choreographers such as Patricia Henriques. With a passion for dance and performance, after university Julia would love to work with a professional company. Joe Larcombe Joe started his training in contemporary from the age of 11 at Matravers School in Westbury, Wiltshire. He carried on with his training through GCSE's and A Levels, resulting in Joe joining the university of Chichester in 2014. Within his training, Joe has worked with companies such as Mark Bruce Company , Tavaziva. Joe has also performed at The Forum, Bath and in Brighton Fringe. Joe has danced with Luke Norris Dance company in 2015 and hopes to continue to perform after graduating. Amy Morvell Amy started ballet at the age of 3 and then went into contemporary at GCSE level. At the same time she joined the CAT scheme at The Place for three years before joining the University of Chichester to continue her dance training. After her degree she hopes to join different dance companies and to eventually run her own. Chloe Munday Chloe Munday started dancing at an early age, studying ballet, modern, contemporary and jazz. This training led to performances with Renton Dance Studio and Camberley Theatre, and further study at The Urdang Academy. Chloe was an Exchange Student at York University, Canada, training particularly in Ballet and Graham. An aspiring dancer/teacher, after finishing her degree, hopes to join a contemporary company. Olivia Paton Originally from Oxfordshire, Liv began her contemporary training at Didcot Girls’ School, studying dance at both GCSE and A Level. During her gap year, Liv trained and performed with Swindon Youth Dance Company before securing her place at the University of Chichester. Music has always played an important role in Liv’s dance practice; she plays both piano and percussion to a grade 8 standard. Along with travelling, Liv hopes to dance professionally and one day be a member of the percussive dance company, Stomp. Hannah Robinson Hannah Robinson started contemporary dance at the age of 10 at a local youth group. She then continued dancing through school and college with a GCSE and A Level in Dance. During college she was also apart of Hampshire Youth Dance Company. An aspiring dancer and choreographer, she hopes to start her own company after this degree. Katie Woodford Katie Woodford, born in Southampton, began learning Tap at the age of 3 followed quickly by Ballet and Modern. Only beginning her training in Contemporary Dance at GCSE level, Katie continued onto Chichester College and then onto university. Katie enjoys performing but has also begun to teach at local dance schools. In the future, Katie would love to perform in a professional company and to continue teaching. |
